The Shelter That Became a Kollel
How an old bomb shelter in Netivot became a place of Torah – day and night.

Netivot, 1985. Young Rabbi Yoram dreams of a place where Torah is learned day and night.

Master of the world – where can we learn Torah here, day and night?
But there was no building and no money. There was only an old bomb shelter.

An old, dusty shelter... this could be a beit midrash!
Rabbi Yoram did not give up, and his students came to help.

Rabbi, where should we put the chairs?
Right here! We can bring light even here!
And so the Kollel "Kol Rina – Rav Pe'alim" was born, inspired by the Baba Sali. "Kol Rina" is in memory of his mother, Rina.

We'll call it 'Rav Pe'alim' after the Ben Ish Chai – and 'Kol Rina' in memory of my mother, Rina.
What a light there is here!
From that small shelter grew kollelim, kindergartens and schools – and thousands of students.

Even a small beginning can become a great light!

Remember, children: where there is holiness – there is everything!
Where there is holiness – there is everything!
